It’s an application that allows you to play games designed for old platforms on modern platforms (for example, Doom was designed to work in MS-DOS, that has not been supported since 2002), notably on Windows 10 1709, Ubuntu 16.04.3 (or your favorite Linux distro) or macOS High Sierra, besides adding properties that we can find in modern games (like AA, AF, SSAO, etc)…

Not for the case discussed above, however, the original 3369 patch includes a 64-bit DirectX 9 .DLL that allows us to play today…
